Spore Delayed Until 2008
Today during a conference call with analysts to discuss EA’s earnings, EA posted a net loss of $25 million and CEO John Riccitiello revealed that Spore will likely not be making into the 2008 fiscal year ending March 31, 2008. This comes as bad news for Spore fans who had been optimistically hoping for a late October release. With this new development, it could be almost a year before we see Spore on the shelves.

I have officially lost interest in this game.
I’ll await comments from the Spore team before I dig a hole.
Lame, I wanted this game back in 06 when it was announced, I waited for that release date, pushed back, waited for that one, pushed back, waited for this latest release date, pushed back even again.
I was promising myself that I would buy this game, but to hell with that, after being straight up lied to by EA (whom I harbor no love for to begin with) several times, I’m ripping this one off.
Leave it to EA. Spit out a buggy piece of crap game in under 3 months, but when a decent game is on the horizon, looks like it will take them 3 years.
Probably still be loaded with bugs when it comes out.
